Default Adjustable Peak Sensitivity

Hey guys. Is the adjustable peak sensitivity of a charger a useful feature? Or is it okay if I buy a charger without it?

(Don't tell me to buy an ICE, or a Much More, or any other expensive fancy charger, please ^_^. I'm looking at $80 price point.)

look for a used pitbull or something. chargers don't really wear out, they just go out of fashion.

Yes. At higher amp rates, lower peak sense will keep a battery from going nuclear on you. More importantly, equalizing your cells before charging will help keep that in check.

Default $80 price point

At the $80 price point, buy a good used Ice charger. It is one of the best chargers on the market at a very good price. On rctech.net, you can buy a used one shipped for $80-$85.

Peak sensitivity is very important, but temperature charging is also important. It will save your battery packs.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Ice charger.

At $120 for a new Ice Chrager, I wouldn't say that is expensive.

Buy a used Ice or save another $40. Which is more important to buy a cheaper charger and run the risk of exploding batts, or spend a little more and have you batts last longer?
