Default Picture of Sweep 32 with aqua insert

Here's an image of one of the Much-More UK GP Sweep control tyres after 4 x 5 minute runs in modified with a 7x1 motor on the huge Stonehaven track. They still grip well.

Update Sorry I was wrong, the actual tyre in the photo was also actually used on the Saturday night for practice so they have done 4 x 5 minute modified runs AND about 10 to 15 minutes worth of practice runs also.

I am assuming that they will be readily available at all Much-More stockists soon but have only just been released.

Keep an eye on www.sweepracing.com as it gets updated.

Yeah, every tyre I've used at Stonehaven wears like that. I've used CS22, PJ22, CS27 ad Vtec 24s. I find the pattern of wear really depends on your set up at Stonehaven. My preferred Cyclone set up there wears evenly across the grain where as my old TC3 set up wore a ridge on the inside edge regardless of what tyre was used.

I have to say it's the first time I've seen any tyre wear on the outside edge/sidewall and perhaps that was because guys were making the car roll more to try to get traction? I don't know.

I've got 8 runs on my practice sets, 5 runs on one set and 2 on another and I'm very keen to keep running them at club level to see how they wear over time and how the performance differs as the tyres get really old.

Pesonally, I was very happy with them and would be happy to see them used as a control tyre next year.

Yes the surface at Stonehaven is rather abrasive so I think the tyres did really well.

I am just uploading a video of the 5 cell 'A' Leg 2 for you all to enjoy - it's 72% uploaded to YouTube so far.....

Thanks to Mark Ewing for the video, more to come soon

Book in early for next year guys and girls!

Cool

Here's a video of the 2nd leg of the 5-Cell 'A' with Andy Moore leading most of the way except when Chris Grainger gives him a battle, it's a shame Craig Drescher makes a mistake towards the end as it could have been a good fight.

Next year I am sure they won't let Andy have it so easy ! This was a real world class field containing:

6 Racers from England
1 Racer from Holland
1 Racer from Korea
1 Racer from N. Ireland
1 Racer from Scotland (Well done Stephen)

and was a real joy to watch live at the circuit, thanks to Rob Nelson of BBKSoftware for the commentary.

VIDEO LINK

The quality seems to have suffered uploading to YouTube so I will attempt to put the full version onto the club website and let you know if I am succesful or not.

You may want to try PutFile instead of YouTube. I hear it should be better...

I must say thank you to all drivers and staffs at the meeting.
It was really well organized and prepared racing. I think all people/families enjoyed the event.

Stonehaven race track is the most beautiful track I've ever seen.
It was also nice to see so many people pitted in their cars, caravans or tents.
It was very new to me.

We were between choosing Sweep 32 and 36 before the meeting.
But Keith made nice choice based on track test and weather prediction.
I also think the weather was just perfect for 32 tires during the race.
It seems almost all drivers were happy with them!
Sweep tires focus on controlled tires' racing with their cheaper price than Absolute tires series and fine performance.

It was also very lucky that Jang had one unglued tire in his hand!(he glued it very quickly)

thanks again!
