No. Bigger car --> bigger costs.

I think it would make for a fun toy. But there is really no future for it beyond that. Cool none the less.

No. 1/8th is fine for offroad, with onroad track space is already at a premium.

Tsk, tsk. You fellas dont see the big picture. If dude completes that car, races it and wins in what is deemed (by some) as the formula one of r/c, electrics will be totally legitimized and given the props it deserves. We have conquered speed records, enduros, and every other class EXCEPT 1/8 scale on-road. This might be the holder of the perennial fork to stick it to nitro once and for all. I run nitro, but an electric 1/8th scale would be over the top.

I would and did ditch my sedan for a 1/12th scale pancar. Anyway, the TC I was running wasn't even mine, it was my dad's and he has 3 sedans.

I didn't realize the IIC, Snowbirds, RROC, LRP Masters, etc, etc were not legitimate.

Regardless, I wouldn't do that. Its a cool project, but still just a project. Much like all the guys that turn 1/8th scale buggies into electric powered cars.

They are not ROAR or IFMAR sanctioned races.

funny thing is there are some rumours going around about various companies toying with electric 8th off-road. why is electric still around??.. because it responds faster. plain and simple.

Electric is still around because electric is:
Cleaner
Quiter
Faster sometimes
technology keeps improving
You can play with it in your house
You kids are not going to eat the batteries (but could drink the fuel)
Easier on tires (lighter weight)
They can be raced indoors WAY more places
etc.
