Howzit Spur,

the 1st problem of oversteer (back stepping out) during cornering is definitely cause by you running 26mm tyres all round. with foams on asphalt, you have to run wider rears. usually 26mm Front and 30mm rear, or you could run 24mm front 28mm rear. if you have the wheels touching the steering arms or rear shocks, then runn spacerson the wheels hexes or run thicker wheel hexes. bear in mind that bu doing this you will be altering th etrack width and maybe you could uses different width suspension holders to maintain track width.

things to remember when running a spool:
1. On Power steering is increased
2. off power steering decreased
3. the car is very sensitive to tyre diameter and with foams this becomes critical and can affect the handling drastically.

with the mamba 7700, you need to gear it according to the track and according to the motor temps after a full run. 200 degress F is tha absolute maximum it should run at. 180F will be alot safer.

hope this helps

now that lipo's are legal, will serpent come out with a rear bulkhead to fit lipo batteries so people don't have to grind on anything?

MaxAmps 5000HV 7.4v w/o grinding the bulkheads. 7.4v lipo's legal with ROAR. MaxAmps 5000 height is 18mm compared 24mm with NiMhs. With shrink wrap only. But with ROAR specs lipo's has to be plastic covered. Still has enough room to fit w/o grinding. Remember ROAr just legalized lipo's 2s @ 7.4v only, I believe.

http://molzermoweryracing.com/dealer.html

Any of our dealers can get you parts, most S400 parts are in stock, from c hubs to gear diffs, to the new Alloy C-Hubs.

Or have your local hobby shop call us and we can get the parts to them right away.

Looked @ Molzermowery and Emailed my LHS to see what they're stocking of parts and availability. looking for local service and how long they deliver, at least 5 day turnaround or less. UPS in same State or city is usually next day.

Ran the car in 27t rubber at the snowbirds. I had the yokomo one-way in the front and the car's steering was awesome! I had a problem with the driver though I kept turning a bit too early and a tap at the right angle would snap the front CVDs. I only took 2 spares with me and ended up breaking 5 of them. I am going to try the tamiya ones up front with the tamiya axles as well.

Many thanks for all the help from the Serpent drivers and Tim Potter!!! They are definitely awesome and helped me out when I needed it the most!

Was nice chatting with you...

If you run alumimum axels, run them in the rear... With a spool or 1 way, it will twist aluminum pretty quick...

I want to place an order for some parts, but I don't see the gear diff or the alloy c-hubs on the site based on the Serpent part number. Should I just call in my order?

Checked through Molzermowery Dealers, LHS 5 miles away. And this LHS telling me that Serpent parts they have is on EBay!!!
Many Parts houses for Serpent S400 are on order, I'll have to wait!! Where I got the S400, parts are yet available for us serpent users.

? they must not be interessted in helping you. Most parts are available. very few are not. Your best bet is a dealer that is close. I do understand that does not always work as well as planned though.

Tim, Do they make a non-aluminum axle that will fit and hold up better than the serpent ones?
