Serpent to 1/10th EP Touring Kit S400

A heavier but correct left-to-right balanced car (weightwise) will outperfom a lighter but not left-to-right balanced car at any given day.
Itīs easy to get a car down to around 1380g but very difficult to get it balanced right with 5-cells imo.

Tamiya ones for the 415 do.. Nathan Parker shoudl be able to confirm this (I believe the screw hole spacing is the same). Nathan asked me the other week about them, and I mentioned the brackets look very similar to the 415 ones... guess what, they are
IIRC, the 3.0 is very similar to a Tamiya 1D, and the 2.0 close to the 1B, and the 0.0 is the same as the 1XB. As a 1.0 bracket use the 1X.
This means you can use the brackets to vary toe, and track width....
the whole range of blocks go (widest to narrowest)
1E, 1D, 1C, 1B, 1A, 1X, 1XA, 1XB, 1XC, 1XD
with 0.5deg toe between each block.
In response to the previous question, for 2.5deg try 1C/0.0 or 3.0/1XA, and for 2deg try 1B/0.0 or 3.0/1X for 2deg.
N.B. Changing the rear block will narrow the rear of the car, changing the front will widen it.

Seems like a Tamiya 1C is very simialr to the 3.0, the 1D is certainly wider... shoudl mean that...
Tamiya 1E = Serpent 4.0
1D = 3.5
1C = 3.0
1B = 2.5
1A = 2.0
1X = 1.5
1XA = 1.0
1XB = 0.5
1XC = 0.0
1XD = -0.5

Held a S400 yesterday for the first time, so thought I'd measure up the serpent blocks vs the Tamiya ones.... I have to admit, got it slightly wrong...

but if use Tamiya mount , serpent STD 2mm washer need change to around 1.75mm .

I'm also running with Tamiya blocks in the rear. I don't think you really need the 1.75mm washers, you can adjust the play when the tightening the blocks to the chassis

Hi anyone know if Xray springs fit the Serpent RRC shocks?
Also what about the Xray shocks fitting? Reading some pages somewhere on the Serpent I did not get the impression the RRCs are quickly adjustable like the Xrays, could be wrong of course. It mentioned 4 differnet shock pistons but not sure what these do.

The Serpent comes with 4 different pistons 1 2 3 and 4 holes
Xray you can use adjustables and use fixed pistons
Not sure on the springs or fitment though

All of the Xray springs fit, but most of them you cannot get your ride height down below 5.5 to 6mm. Have used Schumacher, some Associated, Tamiya, Yokomo and HPI springs.

Heres a pic of my car with the lipo. The car ran very well and I added weight to in inside of the battery to fix the balance.
