Gear are aluminum. Bought two gear diff and a one-way axle set 14 months ago. Gear diff(401144) from Serpent alway been aluminum.

The gear diff internals are different than the ones in the exploited view. The outdrives are hexagon shaped inside the diff. If anyone has an extra gear diff ill give you $50 dollars for it.LMK

I need clariification !!

This kit is still available, and there is still product information on Serpents main website. Is this car discontinued, or not??

Then I read that in the summer of 2010 there coming out with a updated version, is this true??

If this car is stilll available where are the option parts?? I was looking for the titanium parts(CVD's, screws, etc.).

If you go to Serpent America you can find parts, but no kit. RC Mushroom, RcMart and a couple others have the kits but no parts. I like different cars. I'm tired of seeing the same Xray, Tamiya, and Associated offerings at the track.

What is the final conclusion for this car?? Is it getting updated/discontinued/scraped completely. Is Serpent going back to nitro or staying in electric??

I don't mean to be rude but: how many times does it need to be said?

The S400 is dead, done, finished, kaput, defunct, not available, no longer being produced.

Sure there are a few hobby shops that might have some parts or kits left over, but it's a dead program.

Serpent IS developing a new car, but it is not an S400. It is an S400 replacement. They will not support the S400 in the future. However, maybe some of the parts from the new car will work on the S400. That car is probably still a year or more away.

Serpent never left nitro. Like I said, they will have another electric kit in the future.
