try to have a little more paitcent and wait another week, you are probably not the only one mailing the serpent concern, I had waited a month before they got to my letter.

try to look around on the internet i would start on the xray side they have a lot of belts in different lenghts. and also try the HB 18t center pulley they are looking very much.

I have some information regarting serpents plans for the future with the S400. What i have been told is that serpent is stopping the production of the S400 and are started to design the new serpent "S400" and if all goes well it should be on the marked in spring/summer 2010.
I am also being told that there should be enough parts, untill the new car is being sent on the marked and if serpent runs out of some parts the Tamiya 415 is very much the same. (all of this is only somthing i have been told and is not sure how much of it is really true).

i could put some pictures on this side of the my car with the parts on... if anyone is interested...?

im going on a little vication for a week, so I dont have time to put pictures up untill i come home again.

here is the setup i ran last weekend ( I just need 1-2 sec. over 5 minutes, to keep up with the really fast guys here in denmark) the setup is with 5cells. and ofcause both front and rear shocks have 3 holes

vesa will not make any more 1-piece upperdecks, i think he has sold the drawings til serpent, try to contact them or 2-speed.de they will be able to help with the upperdeck.

since serpent refuse to produce the top deck so i asked vesa to reproduce it... n they do try to support us s400 users with things they can do... i guess, serpent won't mind if we r getting it from vesa since serpent can't provide us the deck... i've been asking n ordering for the deck since last year... but no news till now, except they will answer me "next month maybe"... so i pretty happy that i can get the deck now, n so if any s400 owners r having difficulty of getting the deck, then here i like to share the resources...

I heard some news that they are trying to clear their stock for S400.....but im not so sure bout this....

I have rebuilt my shocks like the manual shows and the shocks don't compress more the a 1/4", so the I started bleeding them and now the compress all the way with a 1/4" of rebound.

Have no clue on what is right.

serpent RCC shocks only rebound about 30% of its travel... once done it right it's superb... but PITA to get it done right...

Until now... no answer form Serpent regarding my mail concerning the S400!

Yes RC-Mushroom has some spare-parts but not many... unfortunately!

I've been checking some Dutch and German RC-webstores for S400 spare parts but all I get to hear from them is that they've stopped with the S400-parts... because they've heard that the S400 is discontinued.

Be honest.. since last year it has always been a struggle to get spare parts for the car. You always had to wait (long) because the parts weren't on stock.

I've made my mind up.
I'm not going to wait until spring/summer 2010 for a 'possible new' serpent electric car.
It's a shame that Serpent does something like this to its buyers. Have you ever seen this by Tamiya, Xray, Schumacher, Hot Bodies, ...?

I really think they (read: Serpent) really don't give a f*ck about it that you have bought one or more S400-cars...

... going to prep myself for another 'decent' Xray-car...
