I like the Serpent car. But I hate that you cant fit lipos in there. Only like Orion 3200 or 3600 can fit, or the new SMC4000 packs. Is not fair. I want to use my 5000 packs and have to cutt the car up to get the m in. Is not fair. Will serpent fix this problem? What are they doing to fix this and when they come out with new parts or kit to allow at least 25mm clearnance to fit most 5000mah lipos in the market today?

I think Butter and Randy have posted somthing about a new Lipo optimized kit being released soon, or at least some upgrade parts to solve this issue. Maybe they can repost on this....Randy? Butter?

I don't get what you mean by FAIR ? .... the packs will fit in, they just hang over the side, or you have to stand them on thier side... Most low top deck, low CG chassis were not designed for Lipos, so why SHOULD they fit with no modifications. We are just at the beginning of using Lipo in competetion, so give it a little time for designers to come up with solutions for the issues at hand.

Personally, I am running the packs you have mentioned and am very happy with the fitment and performance.

Ive been doing pretty good with my S400 parking lot racing around here in san diego. The only thing ive been changing are the shock positions on the rear and the droop...mostly the rear droop. On the front im running 4mm droop (9mm ride height if you hold the tires down and lift the chassis up) and rear drop it varies. During practice i take my wrench out with me and run laps and if i want more turn in, i pull the car over...only take off the rear body clips to lift the body to add/subtract rear droop 1/4 turns at a time until it feels best for me for that particular track lay out that day.

Yo Randy...is there saturday night racing this weekend at BCR? Some of the san diego racers were thinking of heading up to either saturday racing at BCR onroad, or Pegasus offroad.

Might be racing tonight at Wednesday Night Worlds at FHR...should be fun!
