T-bar vs. link cars
O.K. guys,
I am looking for some Rock Solid evidence from proven racers on why you think one is better then the other. I am looking to make a change for the upcoming year and would also enjoy seeing some good debate.
I ran both last year and I have come to the conclusion that a link car takes the bumps much better. It also seems to take a hard hit better without getting tweeked out. A t-bar car seems to work better for me in smooth high bite situations. It seams like I get better corner speed with a t-bar car but I understand that if you set up a link car right the corner speed is good too...
What do you guys think?

O.K.
So how about this:
Low bite- whats better and why?
Medium bite -whats better and why?
high bite- whats better and why?
Believe me I have done my share of testing but I would be intersted in hearing what you guys think-I have run a CRC gen-x and a Cyrl car. Love them both but on different surfaces...

T-Bar cars generate more traction. They are the only choice for asphalt races.
Link cars generate less traction and are better where the grip it too high...but you can struggle to get enought steering out of them.
Note that if you need more than 55% dual rate in a 1/12th car it's pushing horribly. Cranking your DR to 75% and saying you car turns fine is incorrect. Your front tires are slipping, wearing and killing you corner speed.
I have run a lot of diffrent cars and for me t-bars were the only way to go...until last weekend when I got my BMI DB12R dialed in. 47% DR on asphalt! THAT is steering. THAT is efficiency.

what are your endpoints set at? 95-100? That would explain the 55DR.
