Hi TerryS

I've been spreading the info about the New PTX PT's and clones again on several other web boards, and to all of our racers (local and series). hopefully you see a few more sales w/ that...

A question I've been asked, and it seems I saw referenced here a while back...is

The current "Clone" pricing, in the .pdf information sheet

CUSTOM / CLONED PTX TRANSPONDER PRICES:
Custom PTX - €47.50 ($75USD) each or €35.50 ($57USD) when trading in the original AMBrc PT sent to MRT.
(*Trade in discount only applies to ONE custom PTX, additional transponders are charged at the normal price)
Doesn't seem to be the same as the pricing in the store check out.

Description Code Qty Sub-total $ £
MRT PTX Custom R9982 MRT PTX-20C Custom/Cloned Transponder

[ Transponder Type ]...Cloned ID Number
ID# Required (enter in 'Additional Info' box)
[ LED Display ]...Blue
[ Power Lead Length ]...Long (190mm / 7.5in)
R9982 OFFER
Ship x1 FREE
10+ Discount 56.41
So I guess my question is...

To get your first Cloned Transponder for $56.41, are you having to trade in the unit you are having cloned? And/or if not and you do wish to trade it in, what is the pricing?

Low_E, we received your PT ok. We're having email problems again so thought I would let you know here. I will let you know by email when your order is ready.

Hi Mr.Maim and lidebt2, YGPM.

Hi SWTour, thanks for helping let people know and spreading the info about our PTX transponders

Regarding the prices, there is a new clone form (v11/08) with lower prices. To get the trade in price you have to trade in the PT you are having cloned. The trade in price is on the clone form. The prices in the store check out are for reordered clones, first time clone order prices are on the form.

carefull, If you sell your AMB PT's, I guess you wont be the owner of the AMB-PT-number anymore ... and "legally" you can not use the cloned PT-number anymore, ....IMHO

I'm not entirely sure thats at all correct. Its not a burden on the user to use something that legally must comply to the AMBrc system. I know I never needed to agree to only use AMB transponders on a track with AMB systems... so with that, it shouldnt matter if you own a AMB transponder or not.

Now with that said... Terry you have a PM - I am having some issues with my PTX at my local track.

The point is he would be continuing to use a number that he had sold on.
It might be legal but certainly not moral!

Terry .. did my order ship yet? (Pullen, UK)

Edit: I digress... no need for this debate in Terry's thread.

Anyway - anyone else seeing their PTX ring up with the warning or note in RCScoringPro "Poor Transponder" ? I saw that a few weeks ago when I was checking my practice times at the track... and then yesterday my laps were no longer counting. Just curious if the Poor Transponder errror code in RCSP is normal the PTX's or if I may have a bunk one. (note that before my laps counted every time without issue even with the "Poor Transponder" note.

Terry,

Another quick question I was asked about..

If a guy wants to order (3) of the Non-Cloned versions, you offer "FREE" SHIPPING" on single purchase only.

Would he be able to order (3) separate orders and receive the "FREE" shipping on each, and/or should he order them in the names of the end users. (Racer 1, and his Son and Grandson)
