So is it really only 3/10th's of a mile from the track? Would we be able to leave our gear at the track and just walk to/from? Any good places to eat/drink around there? ...I guess I'm trying to figure out if I even need to rent a car at this point.
yep, it's that close.
lots of resturants near by as well

there are several places to eat within reasonable distance, there is a subway and teriaki (sp) joint within walking distance between rounds, a little ways down, more stuff, there will be many of us locals willing to make runs for everyone. around the corner but close there is a indoor motorcross track with a resturant inside, which would be pretty cool for after quals on friday and saturday. there is even a casino within a couple of miles.

Yeah! It's like walking three city blocks. Nice place too, most people stay there and really like it.

We've run a 430' layout on this track. Not the biggest in the world, but not overly small either.

I have seen it run and 5 cell is faster than 6 cell. Crazy I know.

I know you enjoy your LiPo batteries though............ hehe.

Really? That's cool, I really would like to see how it does against 6 cell. It would probably end brushed motors in mod, though, if LRP is any indication.

Anyway, sorry to drift off topic, good luck to everybody at the new venue.

What's up HarshGuy, not gonna stick around for the mains?

I am staying at the same place, and I'm going to be there for the weekend before the nats also. They are supposed to be really nice suites, walking distance to the track but they also have shuttle service to nearby restaurants etc.

Can't wait to race and chill w/ some of the crazy NW crew, I know SIR is smaller but everyone I've talked to says that this will be a better race now that Doug at SIR is running the show.

Doug was going to be the RD at the nats either way, he's on the national team.
