The TA05's toe angle is a little different from those of the 415/EVO series. Because the suspension shaft is about 3mm longer, the figures change a little. The IFS-R comes with 1XB and 1D for the rear. This is about 2.93degrees toe in. If you use a 1C in place of 1D, you will get 2.41. The closest to a 2degree will be 1XA and 1C(1.96).

Oh and if you can, get the 416 versions of the suspension blocks. you can easily flip them over and use a 3mm spacer. The older ones require more spacing and a longer screw... I know I have a couple of those.

This JDM book from tamiya(TA05 perfect guide book) specifies a chart that has cross reference for the blocks. The figures are supposedly derived from CAD specs over at Tamiya.

thanks, is there any logic or specs behind the A,B,C,D, XA, XB, XC, XD parts? or is it just a matter of measuring them up and seeing which fit *and* give you the toe you want? I'll take the parts off the car tomorrow, i can see that the A is the bridge mount over the belt so that wont be interchangeable.

I'm new to tamiya and thought that there would simply be a set or list of mounts to order to get the toe, caster (c-hubs), roll bars etc. you want for racing. Looks like i was mistaken for the IFS-R parts seem to be scattered over the place!

it's just simple geometry if you have the measurements of the shafts and blocks.

@redbones

can you post a link for the guide book? thanks!

Thanks, that's very useful. There are some combinations t hat give very nearly the same angle, the difference would then be the width?

for example:
XD/XC, XC/XB and XB/XA all give 0.45/0.46 toe in, what would be the difference in width between them?
