good 20's motors
hey i was wondering whats a good and cheapish 23 or sumthing motor? type RR? type T type R? not tamiya?
|
Try the ATlas 23 Turn motors, they are pretty fast and very cheap
|
i think i had one of those...or i think it was a 16...i'll give it a shot! thanks
|
tamiya type s or rr :tire: these are inexpensive motors (our lhs sells these for about half the price of 27 turn roar legal motors) and can really take a beating. plus, theyre rebuildable and with the convenience of slip-on capacitor board. only thing left to solder is a diode (if you have a non-reversing esc)

atlas 23's are great, the splash i find is the most consistent and longest lasting.
|
Type-RR or Luna 23T
|
those are both 23T's rite?
|
2 type rr
2 atlas 1 luna hm..... |
Tamiya Rr, bought one for 150HKD.
But this was I think 6 months ago. Not sure if they are still available. I don't see then anymore around MK. It has good torque and top end. Atlas splash is good too but more expensive +/- 200 hkd. Have one of these too. I have a Luna also but it was very bad balanced. This one is also around the 200hkd region |
i guess im going for the RR then the atlas then the luna! thanks fer everyones help!

I had a R type tamiya. 23T and ive had it for like 2 years and it hasnt ever had a problem. i sold it to geof:D but it is still going strong.

There are some really great 23t Stocks out there...but there are some Dogs' too
These are just some of the ones' that are the Hot ticket:nod: by manufacture Atlas: Splash R Soild Red Toyomichi Edition( Damn fast motor:nod:) Luna: Pink Heat sinks(sorry forgot the name ) Blue end Bell with Black heat sinks ( new motor Lots of torque and Rpm) Yokomo: RSR RSL Xenon: 23T Red 23T Blue Orion: Speed demon 23T (laydown brush type) These are some of the Best 23T's that I have use to this Date  if you want to know which one I like the best just look at my Avitar:lol: -Dave:sneaky: |
Ah.. yes the Toyomichi Edition.
That's indeed a fast motor. It also draws current like a modified. So I get less running time from it. Sometimes I can't reach he 8 minutes. Any advice on this motor ? I gear it up to 5.5 on a relative large track. |
yer i use the atlas solid 23T, we only race wti h27 turn motors here, but i use this motor for practicing :D

I'll agree with you on the 8 mins  it is kind of hard..but your final ratio...needs to be changed from the 5.5 that your at now:eek:  ...try running in the 5.7~5.8 Range... this motor has ton's of top end!!  ... I run better times with this motor than I do with some of my 10T singles:sweat:  -Dave:sneaky: |
