mate i run a hpi pro 4 in tc 540 and stock yesterday. ive been running the car for a good 8 months now and i love it. it is a great car for set up the only thing that ive found to be a problem is the front bevel gears, but its not that much of a problem that make the car unreliable or a pain in the arse. if you do get 1 make sure you get a few sets of gears 4 spare, because over time you will need them
my 2 cents

Depends on where you are racing and what kind of parts support you can get, most likley it will be a Tamiya Evo V

I have a tc4 and it's a great car. Parts support is great, although most parts will be discontinued when the tc5 comes out. I just installed a one way and it handles great. the pro 4 is a good car as well as the Tamiya.

Evo5 for sure.... it's the most up to date shaft car around, and is very quick.
[blatent plug]Incidently, I have one for sale (and not because I don't like it... needs must at the moment ), link in my sig to have a look [/blatent plug]

They are all good cars, go for the one with support in your area. That is the best one for you.

Yes they are all quite good.
Go to your local track if you are racing it, and see what they run (in any shafties) also as ford racing said, what is supported locally.

Then, go and search these forums for each car and see the pros and cons of each. The threads are used by club racers, team drivers and the bashers out there. All of these threads will answer your questions.

pro 4! such a great car i even changed my rctech name to it, lol. i finally got skill now and the pro4 is taking me to the top. i'm doing heaps better and i can easily catch up, or even beat the top drivers.

i race at the same club as acko and when we both raced 2getha it was pretty tight yet i still got first since i had a bit more skill, and i hacked him lol

my opinion as a junior top driver, whom is also a hack, pro4 is the way to go. i only ever broke bevel gears when i was inexperienced and had a front oneway in it, but i put a diff in the front and tis all good. i've been racing the pro 4 since december or november of last year and man, best car i owned and havent broken stuff since i was at carpet racing which was about 2 months ago now and that was just a weak ball stud.

Evo 5 will spank a Pro 4 across the race track, no contest!

Sorry Pro 4 people, but it's like comparing a Hyundai to a Mercedes
