1:10 Victory Hawk VH-10 Pan Chassis
 

Hello guys,

i am new to this hobby and i recently purchased a Victory Hawk VH-10 Pan chassis electric car.. :batman:

its a rather unknown-brand car and i am trying to find out as much information about it as possible.. but so far..so good..

heres how the car looks like

Its powered by a 540motor and is pretty much a basic novice electric car..

my question is has anyone heard of this car, or is anyone using this car?

and im trying to find out if the standard 1:10 190mm/200mm body shells will fit on this car?

I have been in this hobby a long time and I have never seen your make of car before. What I can tell you though is it looks to be a standard size 1/10th scale pan car type. They are harder to find now. The size car is roughly 235mm so your 190/200 mm bodies will not work properly. Also the body shell is made from lexan which is the correct type. If you buy a "stiffer" shell type they will crack most of the time on normal crashes/impacts. Lexan material allows for some flexibilty and allows the paint to stick to the body better. You need the correct type of paint for the lexan body.

i just measured the body shell that came w the car and it measures about 200mm..

hmm, perhaps the standard mounting holes on 200mm shells wont fit, maybe i could make my own holes? (or is that how body shells work, u drill your own holes anyway?)

Looks very similar to the older Corally 10th scale pan cars. Some of the parts from that series may fit if you need spares.

I just typed Victory Hawk into Google search and found an ebay listing of the car in a foreign language but from what I can read he lists the rear end of the car at 225mm and it looks like the body is listed at 235mm.

Regardless, the pictures of this car looks very strongly like an older Corally Pan car like rccardr previously posted. This is a good thing for you as Corally is a very strong, Holland based company. They produce very nice cars and they can be contacted through this forum. There is a thread here for CorallyUSA if that is easier for you. In fact most of the company reps that you reach here on RCTECH will be from the CorallyUSA importer, but if you need to contact the Holland factory they can help you do that.

hmm is it possible to try to fit a 200mm body shell onto the car?

i dont think i'd be able to find 235mm body shells where im at.. im not anywhere near US.. im in malaysia.

I would look to corally for setup, spare parts, etc.

Hi there, I recently purchased one of these cars just to compare it to my Corally C10X. They are a great car infact there isn't much difference to the C10X. The C10X and the Victroy Hawk are identical, the only differences are the battery holders go straight not on an angle and the chassis on the C10X has some extra holes. Thats all. They both run the same, look the same and infact the parts are interchangeable. I am actually running a Epic 6 turn motor in mine and it has no problems. So yeh, this car is an excellent car for value. Highly reccomended too. If you need any help just ask and I'll be glad to help. I'll even try and post some pics of mine one of these days.
