Lets make your next meeting a little more interesting. Do a 5min race (as you do) over 5 goes but without you cutting, cleaning, brush change your motor. You both have to equal FAST speeds.
He would stand a better chance at running through hell with gasoline drawers on and not getting burned. I have gotten as much as 45 minutes on my MaxAmps with proper gearing and set-ups on my car. Granted that wont happen every time, but I know sub c's wont run that long. 5 minutes, he will stand a chance for one race. Unless he goes out to buy 4 more packs and even then, my ONE li-po pack against his fresh FIVE sub c's...brings new meaning to the term SUB c's doesnt it?!?!?!?!

Brushless and lipo is a dream to have when you track race speed and run time, you get what you pay for. Less pit time more fun running...

I guess all the brushed guys are at work?

That is.
Working on there comm's and changing there brushes, shimming and timing, figuring spring combos.

Maybe when they get done working they will weigh in on why they like brushed.

But I do agree with all you guys about brushless and lipo on the track. Should brushed run with brushless? Yes if they both are running short heats and no if they plan to run long heats. Brushed with sub c's won't run with brushless with lipo in a long heat. I would say brushless with lipo is the way to go.
