Nervous Racer
#31
Dude, I was so bad that my knees LITERALLY knocked against the drivers' stand.
One race (B Main) I was actually leading with a real good friend pressuring me (for the entire race). I started my hand shaking (like normal) then my knees. The guys from the A were behind me and they started commenting on it. Jim (the owner calling the race) had to put down his microphone - he started laughing so hard. By the time the race was done (I actually won) the only two parts of me not shaking were my Left hand and my head. . .and all the A guys were rolling.
I'm not so bad anymore, but I do get nervous if I'm doing well.

I think you guys get nervous because you care if you win or not. While being in the US I've noticed that the mentality is to always win, what hapened to just relaxing and enjoying the racing? I couldn't care less if I win or loose, and I'd rather loose and have fun dueling with someone the hole race then win and not duel with anybody.
Of course I'd be nervous as anything if I was running a frail car but I'm not soo.....

in my opinion
i tell you what if i didnt get a lil shake rattle and roll going while driving i would venture to say that im not having much fun lol
after many years of competitive racing i have had my share of the shakes and that is one of the main reasons for going to the track
and in reference to pro drivers with the shakies gil losi jr is king
and on the other side of the shakes is calm and if you have ever heard of jim dieter he would be my vote on the opposite of the shakes lol i have been on the stand with him and he drove with his legs sort of crossed and you almost wanted to punch him to make sure he was awake LOL
