I heard the "new" motor is pretty close to a KD , but thats it..

yeah, try around 5.6~5.7 then if you go as high as 6.25 with the atlas brushes. it's super torquey with the infinity brushes, and they stand up to the heat very well. it's probably gonna get a little hot, but if it doesn't smell burned and doesn't drop off in power then your not geared too high.

Depends on the track, KD seem to be good on technical tracks like SIR, and I hear the Peak Dynasty is good on high speed tracks

strange comment about the orion element v2. the most commonly used 19t in my country i have never seen/heard any blow up.

I have yet to see a motor blow up, if you are blowing up motors and burning up brushes every run, it might not be a motor problem, maybe try changing the gearing

It should be the other way around, dynasty for short tech. Tracks (lots of grunt), and kd for fast flowing tracks (high rpm motor, hence why you gear your kd lower) and when I talk of motors going up in smoke it’s the new dynasty not the old one, same thing for the orion element, I have seen at least 5 go up in smoke, not by new people to the hobby, there fast but don’t last the 5 min.

We have found that the new Dynasty likes a gear similar to the Komodo or one tooth less. This is a big contrast to the old Dynasty which required a much larger pinion.

I know of one guy at SIR who tried the Dynasty, it dosent spin as freely as the KD so it dosent carry as much speed in the corner (on a technical track thats where you loose races), but that is just one guy, I havent tried it yet

You can get the same result by reaching the same final drive ratio regardless of 48 or 64pitch.

My $0.02:-

1. The KD’s are consistently fast. (Yet to see a slow KD!?!) But it requires more maintenance – comm. & brush wise.
2. The original Orion Element & Dynasty – fast & consistent once u get the gearing right. The V2 endbell is almost maintenance-free. Personally, I have not seen any Orion/Peak blowing up.
3. But my Atlas Red went up in smoke though. Although, it was running at around 70C~80C. It was a very fast motor. I felt it was overall faster than my Orion. Pity it's not a "ROAR-approved" motor ..

Does anyone know if there is a post with the most popular 19turn/stock motors listed with what they should be geared at.

This would be a great help to the average racer like my self.

If there isn't one could someone make a list up?

Depends on the track. I would suggest going to your local track, watch some of the Stock and 19T races, find out who's fast, and asking them what they run. 9 times outta 10 they will be more than happy to help you out.
