Best Charger

really the gfx's cutoff is not right for today's battery's
you can only do .01 or .02
when you need something in between like the much more can
its to hard for me to say here but for a every day good cheap charger the ice is great and as for the checkpoint its probably good too and we will see about the price
but out of the 3 its ice, muchmore.then gfx for battery performance
i dont know why it just is even tho the gfx should not do 4200 right.

Ie. you can be discharging batteries all day long and it will not go poof on you! Have you guys ever compared household tools an appliances to professional grade stuff? My kitchen blender has 12 speeds and cost 49.99. A professional blender for restaurants cost about 1000bucks and has 2 speeds. Difference is the professional one is meant to blend the tough stuff all freaking day long and not break down! So the CE chargers are NOT all hype! They make cheaper chargers like pitbulls and they are competitively priced as other brand small chargers but you don't get the 35amp linear discharge. And YES you DO get same as TM label numbers when you try cycling new cells on the CE T35 series chargers!
As for LiPo abilities - I believe the software upgrade is almost ready for release - and the GFX is upgradeable.

Lets change the pace.
I want a Lipo only charger 115 volt.
No discharge feature, and will charge up to 12 amps, and with a quiet fan thats all.
Even though my ICE, charging lipos has never even come on, it just doesn't get that hot.
OH and I would like to get an RC Tech frequent poster discount thank you.

Compitition Electronics service is the best. The turn around time is all way less then 5 days. Sometimes just a couple of days. The understand racers and their needs.

Thank.
Thank.
The check point to my understanding it is, with a 20 amp discharge and 2 fans.
My ICE has but 1 fan but has never came on charging lipos. And my ICE has 10 amp discharge but its worthless because I'm 100% lipo.
So really never gave it a thought to change to the check point.
I don't need the discharge feature and the fan dosent come on so I'm sticking with it for a while. I think it and the check point really are the best on the market.
In all honesty I would probably buy the check point if I had the need to buy another. As long as the price was the same or less.
The ICE really does back up what it advertises.

Any idea on the checkpoint?
The 10 amp discharge was the only complaint I ever heard on the ICE, a lot of guys at our track use them.
That 30 amp is a plus. I would expect the 2 fans would really be a plus when discharging that hot.
Probably why my ICE never kicks on I don't discharge with it.
Definitely an up and coming charger.
