very nice Yodog.. we have our E-mugen making the jump from an old MRX3 Chassis to a new shinny MRX4 this week. We got the 5S pack in it with the RX8, will be running the 2040kv redline motor at this weekend mini TZGP.

Thanks, I was hoping to head up there this weekend with the rest of the Empire gang but my work schedule is too heavy right now.

I really wanted to have the car done for Rich by now but like I said...Work is getting in the way of all my fun.

Haiih everybody

I drive the Motonica P81 Electron and P8F Electron as well to test for Motonica :-)

They are working really well and to change the Battery is very simple to, i drive both with the Mamba Brushless system on 4S, thats enough power i think ^^...

the top speed is a little more than with the nitro but the torque is unbelieveable crazy, we limited the esc with a throttle and breaking curve and also a amp limit in the bottom of the rpmīs.

video will come after this weekend.

Any more news on this topic?

What is the best lipo configuration for this application?

I think the Montonica looks better and more flexible than the Serpent as more lipo options are available.

Obviously some parts are missing. i just wanted to share some ideas with the layout.
This setup should fit most standard hardcase lipos, 2 and 3 cell X 2 as long as they are 138mm or less in length.
What an outstanding layout, the best I have seen yet! Is there enough interest too manufacture and market you kit? It would be nice to see one for the Mugen MRX4-X. There are some good deals floating around since the arrival of the new MRX5

Here's a few pics of the 3D plastic parts installed.
I need to make a few more changes before going to metal and carbon but it's getting close now.

Simply outstanding looking. Now all I need to do is find a Kyosho Evolva at a decent price. Maybe with the worlds comming a new car and blowout pricing will happen.

Very nice YoDog. I've been working on my 1/8 pan car. Still need to find a way to make the rear hubs run true. I tried to size the left down from 5/16" to 1/4" with 2 pieces of K&S brass tubing-too much runout. Anyway here are some pics. Don

What rims are you using in the rear?
It might be best to just make new hubs that will fit the new axle. I may be able to help with that.
I'm still pondering a pan car design. I just need to figure out if I want to fit existing parts or make it all from scratch. That's the beauty of having access to a 3D printer as I can basically mock up the whole car to get everything to fit.

After looking at your car I kinda wonder how it will handle impacts.

The front end and all 4 rims are from an Associated RC 300. I had the front sus. arms milled to get some movement. I don't know how well it will handle impacts. The rear end is from a Mcallister 1/10 speedway car. I made the chassis out of .125 G-10. It weighs 4.5 lbs. Don

Would you be interested in a set of hubs that will fit a modern 1/8th wheel?
I'm thinking of designing the hubs for my own pan car should I move forward with it. I will most likely bore a couple sets for the 1/4 inch axles and then some for a larger axle which I will be opting for.

I'm actually considering a gear diff instead of the standard ball style due to the power loads and additional dirt on the big paved tracks. Not quite sure which way I'll go, maybe just a larger thrust bearing design.

It sure sounds interesting! A lot would depend on my financial ability I'm sure. When I mounted and trued the tires-well let's just say they are a "little" bit hinkie! On another note I was looking at making a new chassis for the Evolva out of 3/16 G-10. I was looking at having space on the main chassis outboard for more A123 cells. I know the minimum weight for this class is 5.5 lbs. Do most of the gas cars come in at the minimum? How about your electric? My Evolva currently comes in at 5.5 lbs, adding 20oz. worth of cells would significantly increase the weight. How heavy can I go and have a good running car and not a tank? I finally ran it this summer-oh howdy it is quick. I also went to 32 pitch gears-smoother. Don
