Thumbs up HPI had...

HPI had a SuperRS4.. Not sure what the scale exactly was, but it was "20% larger than normal 1/10th scale".. Basically an Electric version of their SuperNitro..

I wished that this class would had of caught on. But didn't.

I am still interested in this scale of electric cars.. Sooo much potential...

You mean Team Fine Design.

Delta made one in the 80s, but it never caught. Maybe it will now.

I think it's just a matter of time that we see top manufacturers making 1:8th electric on-road cars especially with the way lipo batts and brushless motors are evolving rc racing. A lot of them will probably use the current 1:10 4WD designs utilizing a two belt, two speed system with electrics on one side and batteries on the other side along with a blend of current 1:8th engineering. Also, I definitely see these cars being a lot lighter than current 1:8th gas on-road cars(no disc brake, no throttle servo, may not need a receiver pack, etc).

Talk about ballistic.

Schumacher GTRe is single belt, 3sp.

Convertors on the way to run 'standard' foams, but Shcumacher to their won anyway.

'Lola' bodies fit, but its designed for the Frewer/Serpent GT bodies.

http://www.freewebs.com/gazdesigns/inthegarage.htm

They are running this year in the Schumacher BTCC with 11.1v LiPo and Novak 3.5 etc brushless.

I 1/8 is the next big step for electric although I think buggies and trucks will lead the way. It would be great to see 1/8 on-road though, especially if they do away with 30-40 year old can-ma bodies and introduce something more current.
