Good Power Supply?
 

I need a power supply that won't break doesn't surge and can tell me wahts its doing . I'm lookin in the 20-30 amp range. Please help. this will be my third ps in three months. My first one broke(pyramid) got a 10amp radio shact but now i need something to run my hudy executive comm lathe. PLEASE HELP

I got a black rivergate 30A... Can't ever go wrong with a rivergate!!

I've got a Pyramid 30 Amp. It's a bit bigger than the Rivergate, but solid as a rock. It's about 8 years old now, it has never given me a problem.

I've also converted a mini-ATX PS to use with my charger. Very small, quiet and good for 4 Amps @ 12V and 15 Amps @ 5V, great for Micro racing :)

Try here . I hear they're very good and have a good selection. For our purpose I believe we should get a switching mode power supply with high current capability. I ordered an SPS-9400 (3-15V, 40A, LED V&A meter)

I personally have been using the NOVAK 'purple' N-power supply for over a year now..can run 2 chargers (pounding at 6 amps) simultaneously...have not had any problems with it yet...I highly reccomend it...

FYI....the chargers that i use currently are the NOVAK Millenium and the CS SpaceCharger....

Did Hans or the Princess give that to you?

Okay guys...here is a very good supply for all..... It is the Samlex 1223 a 12 volt rated at 23 amps continuous and 25 surge... The nice thing about it, it is about the size of two Novaks.... but the price of one.... next it can run all day, been running mine for about two years now with two to three chargers connected...no prob....also can run my motor checker while charging a batt and still no prob.... You can pick one up at www.hamradio.com Under the search type in Samlex 1223.... they are 100 bucks!!
