Default TA05 keeping up?

Does the TA05 keep up with the other budget tourers (T2R, Cyclone S)?

How about with the big guys?

I prefer the TA05 on Asphalt over a CF chassis as it's more durable and has a bit more flex. I race against guys with T2's, T2R's even Evo 4's, and it's very competitive especially against the T2, T2R and Pro 4

Im faster with my TA05 then I ever was with my RDX or Pro4. I think the durability gives me the confidence to take the tight line.

So does that mean I wont be known as Smurfette this summer??

(I raced with a solid powder blue body most of last summer)

I guess now that you only race brushless we wont be able to call you "hung brush" this year.

We can teach you in a few simple steps:

1. Remove one of the tires
2. Wire your motor backwards (yeah it sounds weird but trust us)
3. No body - they just slow you down

Follow those simple steps to success...

If you cant tell we have a lot of fun outdoors. We welcome the challenge and by we I mean the fast guys that are about 4 laps ahead of me (Mike, Randy, Junior, etc).

Take-Off CS-27s or Sorex Tires (24, 28 or 32 depending on the temp). The Sorex didnt wear well if you didnt have a great setup but they were a bit faster. The CS-27s can last a long time. Most of us arent into the changing the tires every round as it gets too expensive. We figure if we are all running 10 run tires then its fair.

If you havent already you might want to check out the forums at

Sorry for the thread hijacking but Kevin started it....

I liked the Sorex tires. I only got a chance to run RP30's 1 time and I really like the performance. I do not know what the wear would have been.

I did run the CS32 a few times when the track got really hot. Those tires you would not normally have in your tire bag.

Rob Tim will have some tires he will loan you. He is such a nice guy.
