Are you guys providing a building service this year? Or have you not decided on that yet?

I think this would be awesome. Too bad there are only a few stock motors to choose from or that would be really interesting.

Brood will be there to build motors -- within reason. Garrett and I will be there offering help and support for our team, and anyone else who needs a hand. We're asking you guys to keep it sane however, some people felt it was open season to bring in 20 of their most beat down motors for Jenkins to fix. We have not exactly figured out how it will work, it's more of a wait and see kind of thing, but if we start to get overwhelmed I will keep it in check and add some limits like one motor per person or something.

It's great helping out, but I think last year took about 4 years off of Jenkin's life span. He had a hard time saying no to that guy who kept walking up with 10 motors for each heat..

But bring your motors, bring your brushes, and we'll hook you up. We will have brushes for sale, but I am asking if you need to buy brushes buy them from Ampdraw and not us.

We're not getting a booth like last year, Garrett and I are coming down to race as well - you'll just have to find our pit area which should not be hard..just find someone in a Brood shirt and introduce yourself.

I can understand the situation from last year. I have no problem doing my own, I just wondered if it was going to be like last year is all. I tipped Jenkin's at the end of the week. I did appreciate the work he did which allowed me to work on other things. I will do my own this year and give you guys a rest, but thanks again for last year!!

also that will be my food money for the week, wont be much but enuf to cover the brushes and misc items...

i usually hide out in the corner and do the team motors but i figured since i wont be gambling this year i will probly be bored, i think i heard scotty say something about a motor tuner section of pits, but dont quote me on that

I wanted to repost this. There are quite a few people that I do not have room info for. We have the block of rooms for 2 more days.

Also If you did not use the code let me know as well because you will not show up in the IIC hotel database.

Repost****
--------------------------------------------------------------

The hotel has a line of people waiting for our rooms to free up so that they can sell them at the higher regular price.

Get your rooms now before the block closes.

There will be nothing that Scotty or myself can do after the block closes.

Pass this info to other racers who are going to attend.

If you are sharing a room email me at [email protected] and tell me who is in your room and the name that the reservation is under.

Thanks Boomer

***Re-post***
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

As with previous years, the only prerequisite was that you have to stay at the host hotel. We were notified by the hotel this week that the hotel is "oversold" for our week. We have a block of rooms reserved for our race and is going to be closed on August 25th. Once the 25th comes, the South Point Hotel will take our unused rooms and release them to the people that have been over sold to. There will be no more rooms and you will not be allowed to race and there will be no refund.
People have been putting off getting the reservations. The time to do it is now. A lot of you do not have a reservation at the hotel. If you do not have a room at the hotel YOU WILL NOT RACE.

Call the South Point Hotel at 1-866-791-7626 or 702-796-7111 Book your reservations using the code IIC 2007

For us to be able to hold the IIC at the South Point Hotel we need to fill our block of rooms.

Please do not wait anymore. Make it easy on yourself, get your room and be able to enjoy our event to the fullest.

If you have already reserved your room at the hotel, Thank you

As always email me at [email protected] with questions and concerns.

HI guys,

As we get closer to the race, I feel the need to make a ruling on batteries. Months ago when we decided to allow up to 4600mah packs, there was talk from many of the battery companies that 4600mah were right around the corner. They will be out soon. So we decided to allow these new 4600. Fast forward to right now.

Still no 4600 out on the market that EVERYONE can get. yes some chosen few can get them, but the majority of the racers cannot. And I do not want to have a situation where a new battery comes out the week before the race and everyone has to scramble to buy batteries right before the race. I would not want to have to do this as a racer, and I sure dont want it to happen as a race promoter. So at this time, I am changing our rule to 4300mah packs maximum.

I feel that this is the best rulling to make to keep this race as much for the regular racer as it is for the sponsored team driver.

Next is the stock motor. I understand everyone is waiting to find out what the motor for this years event will be. We will have it posted as soon as we can. No need to come on here and complain, remember it is the same for everyone. I am a racer also. so I understand how you want to know. We will let you know as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Cant wait to see everyone in Vegas. It is going to rock.

Thanks,
Scotty
