Hi Guys, I hope everyone is ready to get signed up for the IIC. Entries will go live next Tuesday May 15th at Noon Central time.

Now unlike last year, we will have a limit to the entries that we can take. I have already received numbers from the major teams on how many entires they will have in each class, so we will do our best to keep it under control. I dont want crazy long days like last year.

We will be doing online registration with PayPal. You can use any major credit card to pay when you use the PayPal payment method.
For most of you guys that have used PayPal, you know there will be a fee
that they charge to use their service. This will be in addition to your entry total. If you dont want to do it that way, you can print it out and mail it in, your post mark date will be your entry date. The fastest way to enter for the IIC will be the online with PayPal.

WE ARE GOING TO SELL OUT FAST, SO DONT WAIT. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US IN LAS VEGAS. SIGN UP RIGHT AWAY.

Drivers can run up to 3 classes in the IIC, only if your 3rd entry is a 1/12th class. You cannot run 3 sedan classes.

Unfortunatly this year we will not have a seperate Brushless class. We have 8 classes already and there is just no time left in the day to do this. I know many of you wanted a 13.5 class, but we will reevaluate the classes after this year.

The hotel is all set for us.
Reservations can be made at the South Point phone number
1-866-791-7626 use the code *********IIC 2007************
for our special group rate. For those of you who did not attend the IIC last year, the hotel is awsome!! The rooms have probably the best beds around. 42" Plasma on the wall. Very nice pillows and comforters. Large Bathrooms and the hotel has a ton of stuff to do,plus they are opening their brand new nightclub.

THE HOTEL REQUIRES A FIRST NIGHTS DEPOSIT OF ROOM AND TAX PER ROOM. TO GUARANTEE INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS AND THE CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED THE FIRST NIGHTS ROOM AND TAX. THE HOTEL ACCEPTS ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS FOR THE DEPOSIT AND THE CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE STIPULATED ROOM AND TAX. GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS WILL BE HELD UNTIL 6:00AM ON THE FOLLOWING DATE.

We will be sending out email confirmations once we recieve the email from PayPal that your payment has been received. For those of you mailing it in, as soon as we receive it, we will notify you. Again the fastest way to get in will be via the online registration with PayPal.

We will have an hour of open practice each day as soon as we open, then we go to controlled practice via heats.

CHARLIE: That is casino corner and the CHARLIE chicane. South Point Punt. good one!

Well that is the latest so far. If you have any questions, dont hesitate to post and we will answer as quickly as we can. Myself,Boomer,Jamie,Doug and all our staff is again excited to be bringing everyone the best possible event we can. I look forward to seeing everyone again at the IIC.

Thanks,
Scotty

It's good to hear you're considering it for the future, at least. Thank you. I'm going to try and make it out in 2008, hopefully there's something for the BL guys buy then.

Just enter and run your speedo in brushed mode. You get a motor with registration if you run stock so all you would need to buy is springs and brushes. Just let Eddie O's boy tune it for you all week if you don't own a lathe anymore.

Jenkins did a hell of a job last year imo. I was hoping to get you guys to do my stuff again, so now you are telling me I have to actually get my lathe out of my box and use it. Thanks Garrett, maybe I can talk David into coming down and doing my motors for me. Could he catch a ride with you guys since you have the race rig?

Yeah our motor service might not be the same. I will be on hand to build motors, but I'm not as fast as Jenkins. (ask his girlfriend.) EddieO himself will actually be doing it.

If I can find a car, I will run. I need to buy a new car for this race though...
New Speedmerchant car sounds kind of fun...

EA and br00d are both extremely generous with their offers to help people, which is something I'd definitely have to do for any hope of competing. I just don't feel right about not being self-sufficient as a racer, though. Maybe it's pride, but going to a big race and then relying on someone else to build my stuff seems like the wrong idea. I don't know how to build a stock motor, and since that's such a large part of brushed racing, it would feel like a cop out if I had someone else build it for me.

But, if I keep improving, I'm eventually going to want to go where the fast guys are, so either it'll be 13.5 by then, I'll learn to build motors, or I'll accept one of the kind offers of help, and swallow my foolish pride. :-)

Hahaha, now that's a good plan right there! Thanks bro, I'll make it out to Vegas in 2008 probably. I'll man up and buy some NiMH, and even have my hand held through building a brushed motor if there's no 13.5 by then.

I just realized the Vegas race is the same weekend of the Nascar race in K/C that I already have tickets for...

BUMMERRRRRRR!

Oh well... maybe I'll have to go to another one of Scotty's big races this year.
