I noticed this in the Rules regarding batteries:

"The use of 4600 batteries will be allowed."

Does this mean if an IB4600 is released 10 days before the event, that it will be allowed to be run?

Or will a list of approved batteries be posted several weeks before the event?

There was internet at the track last year. I had no problems connecting in my pit. You just had to connect to the convention hall while you were down there as apposed to the connection you had in your room.

Last year, internet access was not free but Scotty was able to get a deal to bring down the cost. And it was a one time cost for the event. Not a day to day cost like other hotels.

I think I paid like 12 or 17 dollars a day for the internet last year.

I don't remember the cost but I do know it was not free and never was in the past. I do remember people saying they could not connect at the track but while you were at the track you had to connect to the convention center network to make it work, room network was too far away.

I remember it was like $13.99 or something like that in the room. paid for it monday morning to upload pictures. but if you got it to connect in the room using the code you could go back to the hall and use it that day. I never got it to connect in the hall with the code.

I never had a connection issue anywhere, just need to connect to the right place depending on where you are at.

With the race a little over a month away, is there any decision on the stock motor. The website still says nothing yet. Just curious, I know that Scotty and the crew are very busy getting ready.

I talked to Boomer not to long ago and they are waiting on some info to come in and they will then make a final decision.

Sorry for the delay, Trying to bank hours at work to make sure I have plenty for the race. I would hate to come home and have my check short

Batteries: All 4600's will be allowed. A cut off date for release will be announced.

As far as internet, Last year we had little luck negotiating the price because they had never had an event like ours. Their structure was built for "Business conventions". As you know That doesnt fit what we do. With the new owners now Scotty is trying to see what he can do. No promises on a price break but he is trying.

That's it for now. Time to go to Trackside for the Summer Sizzler.

I wanted to post this as a reminder that September 1st is the Trackside IIC warmup. Labor day weekend affords everyone that extra day to recover before heading back to work.

Come join the fun and get that car ready for the 2007 IIC!

Hope to see some of you there.
