Default SMC Batteries

I'm thinking about trying some SMC 3300 batteries, has anyone tried them yet? If so what do you think about them? What type of numbers are you getting? Also can someone provide me with the link to their website. Thanks

I think SMC batteries are the best out there. There web site is www.smc-racing.com. The best place to pick some up is at www.speedworldraceway.com.

Default SMC ROCKS

If you buy SMC GP 3300's you won't be disappointed. I've been running Smc for a few years now and they are imo the best batteries out there. Believe me i've tried just about every make Trinity, Orion, Nuclear power, Peak and SMC are the best. You will be impressed by SMC.

Nothing wrong with SMC except the price. Check out www.promatchracing.com and www.kmrbatteries.com before you commit. The Pro Match site is also very informative on battery tech. Good Luck

JWWU The first things you want to know about their service are good and stand behind their products or money back....Pro-Match goes all these things no problem

Yes I've tried them and they are very good. Keep in mind that both Pro Match and KMR are fairly small companies . KMR is one of those companies that you wouldn't know about unless you got beat by somebody using their stuff !!! LOL . Thats how I found out about them. At those prices, you've got nothing to lose !!! Try 1 pack and see what you think. Pro Match prices are close and Jeff is well respected. Either way you can't go wrong. I'll go out on a limb....If you buy a good pack from either company and don't like it and don't destroy it, let me know and I'll buy it from you. Good Luck, Dino

Which one? KMR, Promatch, or SMC?

So if you had a choice what would it be? KMR and Promatch have pretty much the same prices? Or SMC for a little bit more? I'm running stock and maybe racing mod later on. Which voltage and runtime should I get for stock? 390+ or 400+? 1.13,1.14,1.15, or 1.16 for voltage? Lastly are KMR batteries discharged at 30 amps? Thnx

Default BTW

Don't really wanna spend to much on batteries but I still want to be competitive. Is it really worth spending $70-80 on a single pack of batteries?

Hey XXX-69. thats good enough that im going to use that on our page.

RC friend- if you have any ther questions in regards to our packs feel free to come and ask on our company forum. ( available here on RC Tech)

Im biased towards SMC. but here is my honest opinion.

i think its important to find a matcher that you trust and one that also suites your needs. We are racers so our stuff is considered very high end and geared to nothing but performance. The golden rule is you get what you pay for. its the price of performance. if our packs are $10 more then other matchers but made the difference between winning an losing, you have to ask yourself is it worth it to you? To some it is and others it isnt.. I cant speak for other companies but we don't hold cells back we do enough that we can sell everything we match. that is why you hear of people buying 1.17+ cells from ther LHS.. Danny was a racer himself, he remembers the frustrations of being on the other side of the counter, anyone that know him, knows he cares about too things.. 1) giving racers the best chance at winning and 2) making sure his #'s are as true as possible.. its proven to be the right receipt.. SMC has grown from a small matcher to one of the key players in a very short time.

If you dont beleive me, ask Todd Malone. He won touring stock at Snowbirds ( largest race int he world) with a pack he bought over the counter at his LHS. we didnt even know about it until after the main.. when he came and thanked us for caring about the average racer.

I just edited my comments due to the fact that the title of this thread is "SMC Batteries". RCFIEND doesn't need a bunch of people telling him about other companies batteries. My apologies for confusing the issue. BTW, Korgae makes sense. There are other companies out there but go with who you're comfortable with.
