Rear foams on the front
I have a bunch of rears that are bigger than the few fronts I have. I would like to use up the rears without buying more fronts.
I've heard that some of the really good guys at the really big races have ran rear tires on the front, but I'm wondering if I can get away with it. I'm not as good, and I'm running on a medium traction carpet. Will it ruin my day if I try it, or should I go for it? -Adam |
Your setup will end up being slightly different probably. Sauce about 1/4-1/2 of the front tire and make sure they are glued on both the outer and inner sidewalls. That should give you more steering overall :sneaky:

I ran double pinks all around for a few weeks on low and medium traction on my '007(stock class). It was the fastest Ive ever had it but a lil tough to drive.

Its amazing on low bite, gives you all the stearing you have ever been looking for.

Yup, I switched a while back and run nothing but Jaco dbl pink front and rear. I sauce the inside 1/3 of the front and it works great, tons of steering.

Cool, thanks for the responses. I think I'll try it.

Well, I tried it. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of time on it because I touched a outer 2x4 board where there was a gap between two boards. This broke the Jaco dp tire (shocking, I know). At least it was a dp.
I'll try it again next week. My observations weren't solid tonight, but I think I noticed what you guys pointed out - that I might have problems with slow turn reaction and then an overly strong turn reaction. So, gluing the outside edge at least is probably the right move. |
