Dead Cell
well im going to probally sound pretty stupid....but here goes....
i bought a bunch of batteries from ebay a bit ago...when i got the packs 1 cell was dead, is there a way to bring the cell back to life?
currently the cell is removed from the 6-cell pack, and is an ib3800 507sec @ 1.215v (seller said he was sending another cell to replace - is a ****** Brand dealer, when i got the packs they where only assembled)
my charger is only for 4-8 cells (indi 16x9) or i would try to charge just the single cell....

Are a 50% of possibilites you can "revive" the cell with a Zapper. I have a zapper make for me, and i revive some dead cells 3300,3600,3700,3800,4200, but a small amount of cells, I have not been able it to do. In general, the "revived" cell, work well, but is best, to put all the cells, from the same pack, on the zapper.
Although the manufacturers recommend not to do it but of once, I have experienced some years with batteries, that continue working very well.

there is a short in the cell

Make sure it is dead and what it looks like. If it is all white on the positive side, and looks like it vented there bad, it is done. If it looks fine, but just seems soft or false peaks, a cycle may help, but that's just a guess without seeing it.
