Im going to go ahead and start a thread for Josh and hope he doesnt kill me . Use this for all CEFX related questions and I'll try to answer them and I am sure Josh will pop in here when he has time as well. I'll post my setup from the Birds here in a few along with pics.
EA
Looks like this is the EA 1/12th scale thread to me
I am seriously thinking of buying one to run at the nats, and coming from an L4 I dont think the leap will be too bad. The only questions I have are: is the stock chassis suitable for high traction, or will most go to the wide chassis? And lastly, what are the handeling affects of the short, medium, and log t-bars?
one more, what do most use to dampen the rear end? Grease such as the trinity white, red, and purlpe stuff, or silicon diff fluid?

thanks, chopsticks
It should be an easy transition. I am pretty sure my car is just a stock car out of the box. Josh didnt say anything was special about it. I have the medium Tplate on mine. Josh said that it works in most applications. The shorter bars were meant for Asphalt I think. Longer ones are the same as associated. The reason for the medium length bar that is standard is the rear pod is bigger than most and it helps to keep the lenght from the rear axle to the pivot point the same as other 12th scales I believe.
Most guys are using some sort of gas car diff silicone for the tubes. I know Josh uses Kyosho stuff. A lot of guys use Associated stuff as it comes in an assortment pack. 15,000wt Kyosho is what Josh starts with everywhere.
As promised in the 1/12th thread, here is the CEFX C12 set up sheet I've been using. It's an Excel spreadsheet, so can be extended and expanded fairly easily
It's designed for the new chassis, but wouldn' take much to convert back to "old skool" Evo 1 kit format!
I've been running Associated thin t-bars, and haven't gone back to the CEFX t-bars since. Not sure how the new cars have come, but I've been using a post to mount the front of the shock above the front t-bar screw. A faithful copy of Josh's 2006 Worlds set up...I did pit right next to him so got a ring side seat
Side dampers - I've run Corally Soft damper lube, and increasing using Losi Hydra fluid...either medium or heavy.
Well just paid for my CEFX car so I think by the end of next week I will have it. Going to be interesting because I raced lots of different cars and classes before but never a 1/12th. This is going to be a whole new ball game for me. Look forward to the challenge of concentrating for 8 minutes.

Sorry for my delays in getting up here.... After finishing up at Ft. Myers, we had a death in the family and in trying to get ready for the Nats I've run myself into the ground with a serious sinus infection/cold.... I'm way behind with a lot but I figured I'd post since EA was doing such an awesome job helping us out with things!!
Some basic info:
3 chassis types:
Standard - Same as AE
Medium - .050 wider (1.25mm aprox.) - This is what comes in the Evo2 kit
Wide - .100 wider than standard (2.5mm aprox.)
4 t-bar types:
Long t-bar - Large tracks with low grip where tons of rear bite is needed
Medium - good all around t-bar - Very similar to AE t-bar in handling
Short - mainly for asphalt racing - short to increase stiffness quickly for increased steering and traction (too aggressive for carpet)
Standard - Copy of AE t-bar - this will fit on the C12 but it is not recomended now that we have the new t-bars.
EA's car was a box stock C12. Nothing special or prototype about it.
