nrtv20 - Do you have the Evo2 rear end conversion?? That makes a big difference as without that, it's pretty much the entire car...
tcian - At the Stock Invite race I ran:
.018 front springs w/ Kyosho 15k grease
5 degree blocks w/ castor shims split 1/1
2 degrees of camber
1 degree toe out
Jaco Prism Double Pink fronts @ 1.66 w/ 30% Paragon
3.5mm ride height
.062 Medium T-bar w/ .040 under the front
30wt center shock oil with Green Spring
Kyosho 15k in the tubes
Jaco Prism Yellow rears @ 1.72 w/full Paragon
3.5-4mm ride height
Protoform Speed 12 body
Skeen - Great job at the race!!! Next time you run, try this front end set-up:
.018 front springs w/ Kyosho 30k
10 degree blocks w/ castor shims split or both in the rear
1 degree front castor
It's what I tried in 19T and what we threw on Jimmy's car for the last qual. It was better over the bumps and definatly had more steering for those hairpins!

well if I had 30k I would LOL have to get some from you next time.
yeah my car pushed a little in the main could've used some more steering for sure.
If you got any there at the shop I want to order some other pieces parts from you anyways.
did you go back to the thin t-bar in hermanns for the 4th round forgot to ask.
I wanted to go back to the 5 deg and 18's split after I changed bodies, but my car was easy to drive and I knew a clean run would put me in the show so I stayed with it. I think it might have been ok with the speed 8. my speed 12 was just too much downforce.
thanks again for the help.
are you having any races or anywhere you know doing a warm up for the birds? I probably won't get to race again till almost feb.
thanks
michael

Michael - I knew it was your first race with the car so it was good to see that you got to change/try a bunch to learn the car in a short time. I think we learned a lot at the race that will really carry over to the Birds. We will probably have a Birds warm-up and I'm sure the track down in Cinci will as well. Anything you need, just drop me an e-mail!! Oh, yes - we did go back to the .062 t-bar in Jimmy's car...
Joe - Keep an eye on www.cefxraceway.net. I think we need to post the calander for December on there but I'll make sure to have Angel post it up there either tommorow or this weekend!

What are the handling effects between the short, medium, and long CEFX T-Plates on a C12 Evo2?

nrtv20 - Great!!
ChemicalX - The medium t-bar is basically the one we always use. It has a good balance of reaction/traction. The short t-bar increases reaction speed of the car and generally has more steering. It was really made to generate increased steering responce from the car when running the flexi 2.5mm chassis on asphalt. The long t-bar has reduced reaction but is very stable and comfortable to drive on very bumpy tracks/low grip tracks with wide sweeping corners. Generally, it was made for the larger tracks in Europe that don't have the high bite or super tight corners like we have here in the US.

Josh I found some ofna 30,000 and tried the 18's with the 10 deg block I'm running about 3 deg of caster.. 2 camber or so.
the rear end stayed with the std setup.
the 18's and 10's with the 15k was too edgy almost darty... my track is a little bumpy kinda like the gate it was too much, but with the 30k on the kingpins it really smoothed the car out.
I usually run 18's and 5 deg blocks at our track and it works well, but has just a tick of push going in. the 18's 10 and 30k really seemed to be the best option it drove in harder (more initial) and still finished strong mid corner out. but still remained very predictable.
our track is kinda low bite so we run pink rears and dbl pink fronts. and I switched back to the speed 12 there also. I need the downforce for the bumps and the low grip conditions kinda like how it worked well with the bumps at the gate.
I'm going to try running that front end setup at the birds to start off with the speed 8 body and dbl pink fronts/magenta rears.
Let me know when you guys are going to have a warm up for the birds and I'll try and come up there to get some driving time in.

tamiya parts
Josh,
On your website you list a topdeck and shock towers for Tamiya MSX but they are out of stock.
Do you plan on cutting these parts again or are they discontinued?
I will prepay etc if needed.
Please pm or email if possible.
Thank you

Josh....just received your Phoenix car and I have to say I'm very impressed just by looking at it. Just a few questions...
There is a U shaped piece taped to the deck..what is it for?
I plan on running a 3.5 for mod what would be a good ballpark gearing or rollout? ( track is huge new carpet 120 x 60...check it out...onroadcolorado with the usual dot etc..)
I got the car built so what is the current setup?
Parts wise what should I pickup for it....
Thanks in advance and for a great looking ride. Look forward to running it before Nats in Omaha...
