NIMH are not supposed to have memory so it should be the same as re peaking?
Although discharging before charging is the norm to insure full charge and peak voltage. Just be sure to let'm cool after discharging and before recharging.
Discharging wont do any good unless you balance as you discharge.
The Novak smart tray is pretty good. I went Lipo no more discharging at all.
Just charge and run, charge and run. Sounds to dang easy HUH?

That way when you recharge your less likely to have a cell peak sooner than another causing the pack to peak to soon and shut off before the other batteries in the pack are fully charged. I'm starting to sound like a wizard?
It must be confuseing to be the wizard?
As far as run time your insured more at a higher peak voltage if practicing the balancing method of battery maintenance.
Only guessing? But I would say as long as your pack is never discharged more than half way? I would guess balancing is not nessesary. And if performance is not an issue? Then I would just charge and run to heck with maintenance.
