essential setup tools
i would like to hear your views on what you would class as essential setup tools and why,what benifets do they offer and how they perform.
im currently looking at set up tools etc and would like some feed back on what is out there. cheers gaz |
ride height tool. -cant live w/o it
any setup station. -have to have equal toe and camber left to right. tweak board. -same pressure on both sides of car. proper allen wrenches the must haves -Zac |
A droop guage & blocks are also a nice tool to have, but you can use a ride height guage in it's place.
A decent set of calipers is also good to have for measuring shock length, tires, and com sizes. |
If you race foam a tire truer is a must have.

I don't even have one yet. I just mooch off someone else in the pit. Flat board is nice too if your pit area isn't. A good little turnbuckle wrench too if your car didn't come with one. Calipers are nice but I hardly use mine anymore. Droop blocks and gauge don't do much good IMO if you race foam as your droop will need adjusting every time you adjust ride hight to compensate for tire wear. They're only useful for rubber tire. |
