Default New Chassis's at the birds

really wish i was there, intend to make it out there one year.

there have been a load of new chassis and kit being tested at the birds.

one pic from rc50 has me a bit stumped as to what it is

http://www.rc50.com/modules.php?name...lbum=36&pos=89

also the brushless system/speedo are a bit strange, thought the motor was orion but i could be wrong.

any ideas?

Is that Orion's brushless system? I think it's based on the Genius 95.

The Phi is a beautiful car. It seems like the guys driving it are doing okay so far.

And motor mount.

I wonder how well it transfers heat compared to alloy though?

The system is definitely GM. The Orion motor as diferent cooling vents (besides the label says 'GM EVO' )

The GM Esc case is suposed to be aluminium to better dissipate heat. That guy seems to have filled the case with heat sinks.
Interesting idea, although very big!

One thing, notice the colour of the carbon weave on the bottom deck - I've got an old Yokomo YR4 chassis somewhere that has the same effect from being left in a sun-room for a couple of months.

Looks like Marc Fischer's car, new RDX Phi with ESC GM95 (special version with extended heat sinks) and GM EVO 3 Brushless motor.

Can post a detailed pic from last month' DHI-Cup if you want.
