2 servo's lot's of volt's and a reciever pack.
1 servo to steer, and 1 to flip a switch. I'm not sure you would need a speed control?
Tekin used to make one that would handle a 1000 watt's.
I think it was a TCG-11 or some thing like that?
A hot mod for sure. One run motor I would think?

if your looking for a good motor to use and you don't want to go brushless you could try a Plettenberg neodym brushed motor, these motors are absolutely awesome and some can take up to 20 cells.

yes we run dual switches and servos

mangobanana 02-01-2007 06:49 PM

and to solve all ur guessing on motors these things are just ballistic

o yea and for brushless the advantage is no maintenance but the downside is that u would have to send ur speed control in to get fixed cause all that power at once hit the brakes and poof

i was gonna first try a revolution 8 turn on 8-9 cells and if i enjoy it maybe 10 cells then the fancy ($230) motor?
opinions?
also im gonna cuild my own car, so far im looking at:
twin vertical 2mm plate quasi grade carbon fibre machined motor mount and rear axxle holder, dirrect drive to rear wheel, not belts or shafts, cells as far back as possible, lipo reciever in wheelie bar servo's and switchs up front followed buy reciever, running 1/8th nitro foams.
what am i doing wrong and why?
i come from junior drag racing so i suspect some ideas will be simmilar other drasticly different, so enlighten me.
cheers,

anyone??

speedpro1 02-05-2007 12:55 PM

i wouldnt run a ferrite motor on more then 7 cells it kills the magnets and will not be fast.. if you want i can change out the magnets in your can to neo mags for a small fee including the neo mags.
i have ran the v2 motor just messing with it and it ran ok with 6 cells i ran 1.991 65 mph... now with 6 cells were running 1.80s at 76+ mph.. let me know if you need help with anything... albie

what tires would be best when max width is 55mm and minimum diameter is 50mm? can i use 1/12th or 1/8th foams or do i have do buy drag specific tires?
