Brushless motor. WOW!!!
I recently bought a HACKER C40 motor with a HACKER Sport controller. Installed it in my L3t and IT FLIES . I have a 64pitch 120tooth spur & a 20tooth pinion and let me tell you, the speeds are simply astounding. I can't imagine at least on the low end much of anything beating it. It punches out of the corners like a mad psychotic adrenaline driven machine. Just posted this thread so we can get some other experiences & feedback. IT RULES!!!

the speedie gets hotter than a normal speedie, but the motor is cooler. We tested them with a laser temp gun at a gas meeting, and i think it was about 60 degrees. i believe this is the normal operating temp.
We did have a one go into thermal, the other weekend, but it was in the thirties, the person geared down a bit and all was fine.

Out of interest..what gearing did you have it when the thermal cutoff came in? It's a good 30+ over here and when I use to run my Modeltech (same as Hacker) BL on TC it got really warm. It may be worth taking it out of retirement if it marries up to a L3T better!

Thks. I may give that a try!
