Could be for 4Cell rules (Japan) or apparently it could be a cheaper version.

EFRA is Europe, FEMCA is Japan. Europe is going 5 cell, Japan 4 cell (and USA according to reliable sources)

does that mean that 6 cell cars will not be legal soon?

also does this apply to both onroad and offraod?

AFAIK, Stock will remain 6 cell in japan
Given the insane price quoted for Japan, i m quite positive it will be a high-end version still.

I went to the Tamiya Fair in Shizuoka last year. it was a really cool event. Ko Propo was there to, selling VFS-1 speed controllers for $75.00 !!!

I spent most of my time watching the Tamiya GP....awesome event, professionally ran. even the indoor buggy race was fun to watch. i'm sure everyone will be running dark impacts this year.

i'm sure they'll have some new version of the MSX on display, along with the new TA05 based Aniversary chassis, the Valiant Porsche RSR934, and hopefully a new mini chassis!
