Default Stock TC Batteries?

I'm curious as to what batteries you are running in stock TC. I'm in need of a couple of new packs. I have a pack of GP3300 which are pretty good, but very heavy. A lot of guys are running 3000 ultra metals at our track but I don't even see these for sale anywhere anymore.

I'm running Sanyo 1700, Sanyo 2400 CS match and Sanyo 3000 HV. Stock class only. I prefer the 3000, but you have to charge at 6,5 amps, to get enough punch. The 2400 are also good, and with better value for money.

Panasonic is supposedly quietly getting out of the RC battery business. This http://www.rczone.net/modules.php?na...rticle&sid=269 is about the only thing really published on that and it's old but the Panasonics are definitely getting hard to find.

I'd go with the Sanyo 3000HV's as the best of what's currently available for stock. You can hammer them at 8amps and they like it to make up for whatever other deficiency they may have. In my opinion, the GP’s would have to be significantly more powerful to make up for the added weight in stock and I just don’t see that yet.

As OVA said, I'd go look at ProMatch. I just ordered a couple of their packs a month ago and have been very pleased so far.

I run all 3000HVs in my XXX-S, some other guys run nothing but GP3300s and Sanyo 3300s. I believe the Sanyo 3000 HVs are just fine for stock touring car.

Default Stock TC Batteries?

Guys;

I just GAVE away an $80 pack of Integy 3000HV's to a Friend.
Couldn't get enough punch out of them for my liking. Bought another 2400 pack to replace them (PEAK).

A few shops have them left in stock 2400's ( tower has some SMC's left)
and you will have to look around for the panasonic's they are in the same boat as the 2400's Soon to be gone
