ESC for 8 turn motor?
i need a speed control that can handle down to a 8 turn motor. 9.20 gear ratio and typically will be goign close to if not full throttle on a big sweeping track. might be used for 4wd buggy racing too with almost the same gear ratio. what is a good ESC for under $100? or is there one?

Those 2 are good...If you don't mind buying a little more, get the Novak GT7, which has no motor limit.

i was told that the diratrax was bad? i heard you were a lot better off with something else. how much is the GT7?

The GT7 is a great esc. I picked one up off ebay for les than $60.

I bought a Duratrax 8T intellispeed forward only for $80.00 brand new! and I have not had any problems with it so far and i have had it for a 1year 1/2!

im tempted to forget brushed motor and get a mamba max system...... cause right now its going to cost close to $120 for brushed system. the mamba max is $60 more yes but will take no maintenance and can just drive no matter what the gear ratio is. if i get the mamba, im nto going to have much money to spare, but it will have less maintenance and save up over time. right?

can i get a link for the MTronics? is it brushless? if so is it sensored or not? i actually was thinking of putting a team checkpoint armature in my speed gems for like $20 the nget a new speedo, which would be a pretty good deal, i think, but brushless will save up over time cause i wont have to buy a lathe or armatures and brushes and stuff

yeah im running the LRP sphere/ Reedy Neo-one 4star system in one of my cars. its amazing power and speed. it will do close to 60 and will smoke the tires. this is goign to be an alternative motor between a 4wd buggy and another tc that i dont race. so i was looking for more of a 5.5 or 6.5 if snesored. 7700 if sensorless. what is a good sensorless system other than the mamba max?
