Brush vs. Brushless Poll - Let see what you prefer
Let's see what you have to say via a Poll.
Vote on your preference:

I made a mistake on the 4300 in one of the choices on the Poll, and I can figure out how to correct. So the typo is I called it a 4800, and it is 4300 motor. Sorry for that.

That's a difficult poll question. I want to run brushless, but to combine brushless with brushed spec motors is difficult. No matter what you do, one will have an advantage over the other. And then you have all kinds of problems.
Add to that let's say brushless stock is 13.5 turn, currently only made by Novak. What if Reedy or Mamba come out with their own 13.5 turn motor and it's much faster? We're back to Motor Wars, and BL motors are more expensive.
Brushless should be tried on the local level, and see from there if we can come up with a standard. To do something on a national level will cause more problems than cure.
Same can be said about LiPo versus Nickel batteries.

Our club level racing is Stock/13.5 rubber and 4300/19T foam. I will grant that they are not exactly equal and may not work at the national level but for club racing here it works just fine. Gives people the option of BL or brushed and does not give enough advantage to one or the other. Our better drivers win with either and the hope is our classes are bigger.

I say mix them in. 19 turn or stock. BL integration has to start somewhere and many clubs just don't have enough turnout to have separate classes. We've been doing it with both classes at our Hobby Town track and it's worked out just fine.

bvolt a poll like this can help define the classes at a national level with the confidance of what the majority feel. Keep'm come'n, Hopfully every one who stops in will take the time to vote. The link is at the top of the page, bvolts 1st post.

I'm suprised bvolt I figured this pole would be off the charts.
Its an honest poll to see what poeple would want or like to see in the future, no make believe.
Heres a plug to get out the vote. This poll is an opertunity for all of us to share a voice its important that we dont pass up this oppertunity. So vote and be heard.
Good Work bvolt.
I hope this post get's this thread up front again.
