Thanks mate!
Looks like an R3 it is!
Barracuda's are really rare here in Australia so unfortunately i cant support my LHS and buy here. While i'm ordering from overseas, what else is a worthwile upgrade apart from the usual spares like arms/shock towers/etc?
any input on upgrades would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your advice mate...and dont worry, i will get the black version as the sparkle version was what put me off getting it in the first place
is there a product code especially for the black version? I cant find the black version listed on Alex Japan
Also, they have long sus arms/medium/short (i think) what's the go with those?
is it worth getting the hardened arms or are the normal ones stronger?
does the Square alloy front and rear hubs fit the R3?
cheers

The Short arms are for the R1... but they can be modified to work on the R2/R3...
I would stick with the mid to long span arms. Hard or normal ones will be fine
as far as the Square hubs for the Barracuda.... Very hard to find... because Square has stopped the production line on them...for now...but Xenon makes some nice hubs for the Rear and front...but the Xenon hubs for the front are at 7 deg...a bit to aggressive for the R3..

Dave-

Do you have a part number for the chassis kit? Also does it come with a motor mount/shaft holder? I'm gonna see if Steve can special order it for me. Have a new R1 oval project in the works.

Thanks,
Brandon
