Is anyone doing this and what components are you using.
I'm using the Xenon chassis with all the cells on one side.
Which strap will work and which uprights at what length?

Thanks alot

JIM to put it bluntly "are you blind" or just not looking ??

My very last post contains more than 1 picture showing the cells held in with "carbon fiber strap with an upright at either end and the strap retained with a thumbscrew " !!

I will answer the question though even though i think i should really suggest you read the thread a little !!!

USE TEAM X-RAY PARTS it's really easy

Merciless, Great picture of the battery strap mounting style. Can you possibly provide part numbers or which cars the parts to duplicate your mount are from. I know you made the battery straps yourself. Thanks

Deves

i used a 6 cell strap and 1 half of the saddle pack assembly to do it ! both the parts below are needed

Battery Mount Strap For 6-Cell Chassis
#306160

Battery Holder System - Complete Set (2)
#306100

I must admit it works out expensive tho as i think each set is about £25, so it was like £50 in total

For the single cell side you just cut down the 3 cell strap to fit and for the other side it is completely standard X-RAY as it comes in the packet !!

Very nice set-up though, easiest i've ever used

let me know your thoughts please...........
My thoughts? err... well they're big enough files aren't they
took a while to download them on 150k
Looks pretty good, but I don't think I'd use TC3 hubs at the front, not when I'm about to start racing where they have nice solid boards to hit I may do the mod soon though, and get the PAL hubs, as I may need to clearence for foams.

Is your battery strap still like that last pic? it looks like it would get in the way of the spur gear there

Went to my new local on Saturday and one of the club's friendly older guys who answered all my questions has just bought a Cuda R3 he was suprised when I told him what I was driving. Odd that the clubs never seen one before and now they'll have to versions come at the same time

Herm

Yes it's just like in the pic's clearence to spur is about 2mm although i could easily get more if needed

Don't know if i just mis-understood you but i'm not using TC3 hubs i'm using cut down Cuda ones,But will also be changing to PAL ones soon, as you rightly say the clearences aren't enough to run bigger foams without more modding on the front end, rears are fine

JIMC

You also said "If you can't answer constructively, don't bother to answer with "are you blind or just not looking " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fla
