I use them in all 8 holes just for more strength and adjustment. They are bullet proof in hard wall impacts.

Sounds like you need some softer barriers, or maybe just to stop hitting them so hard bent pillow balls should take a heck of a force to do that, even if they're alluminium, they're so short and stubby, they should withstand a lot of abuse.
So track testing is whats been keeping you busy the last couple days I'll just stay bored then....... nothing to look at......

One of our team drivers diden't bent a pillowball the other week .. he riped them straight through the buttom !!!
Going full speed into a turn with a 4"x4" laying as barrier and hitting it with the right frontwheel fullyturned .. cause major damage to the bottom of his R3 Nothing else was bend or broken ..
We now have 5 cars running here in DK and a lot of interrest from all the other drivers
Looking forward to hear more about your test with the long arms Dave -

Sounds like the 4x4 one and the Cuda zero in that exchange. Man I hate when stuff like that happens. Makes for a really bad day and kinda pricey to.

Well I tested the new HPI dodge stratra and It come with two different wings and the short one make your car real loose and I didn't like it and the other one help alittle more rear traction, but not very stable enough for me.
So I'm going back to the MG shell by proform

i did use one for a bit on carpet... worked really well there. i agree that its a little loose on asphalt. at least for me it was predictable on the rug...
