it's tough spending time with two cars as they're both different, one might need more setup time than the other based on your driving style.

Try 6 or 7.. I do like the cuda but I think I need to put the reg. arms back on it,with the mid arms it's way to twitchey for me(and thats with a diff up front)I run on a med. size outdoor asphalt track,my biggest problem is not much time with this car.

I was wondering if any of you guys had a set of 4 offset 6.8mm sus. mount balls lying around that you want to get rid of? I think I've bugged Steve enough with adding things to my order.

some people would kill for "too twitchy"

The pro 4 looks great... if i didn't have a cuda i'd get one but i'm looking for a belt drive to run mod since i already have a shaft drive.

Well, my night was much to be desired...braindead racing in first heat, shattered a hardened knuckle after clipping a board coming through a set of swichbacks at about 3/4 speed, 3rd heat, wrong batteries in the car, they weren't all the way charged (doh), main, it was fast but didn't hit anything and a rear hub broke...also, my 12th scale speed control burnt up... nothing like a bad day at a big race...

Well I'm finaly ready, it's 2.30am, I need to get up at 7am to go to Carlisle to race
Stripped down most of the car yet did suprisingly little actual maintanence on it
Main focus ended up on getting last years 19turn motor back into decent condition, so a good skim which ended up heavier than I planned and then some new caps installed and then wring into the car which is tricky with my short arse wires and two 8 amp diodes.
Thought I only had one new brush for it then after getting the motor installed I found another as I was packing some things up so I had to half remove the motor and put the new brush on the other side getting the brush srping in is an art in itself with my compact wires.
Then also spent hours getting my cells ready, should be nice to see the power of my upper 1.17 Fuku's on tarmac
First time in 6 months I've raced on tarmac or used anything other than a 27stock motor. First time the Xenon equiped Cuda has seen the black stuff. It's looking like it might rain so I left the front diff in, been a long time since I've driven without a one way on tarmac
Going to be an interesting day......

Hi
Ive ordered a r3 and am looking at getting some alloy centre shaft holders, ive noticed that the front is the same as the r2 but the rear is now thinner and only has one bearing.
although quite im sure that the one with two bearings will be ok on the back I would rather get the one with only one
any ideas as to the part no or where i can get one

that's interesting, i figured the rear shaft holder would be the same, ko sent me a single bearing rear aluminum holder that was meant for an r1... you might be able to find one of those somewhere.

The single bearing holder came with the older kits and is hard to get hold of . you must of seen a pic with it installed , But the double bearing will work front or back of car.

Just wondered if you guys can offer me a starting point set-up for racing indoors on carpet(although fairly low grip and bumpy) and using foam tyres.

I like to use proline purples. There a good tyre and popular amongst the fast runners at my local club, but am open to new suggestions!!

Are you using alex racing springs or do others fit (AE,HPI or X-Ray??)

Anything i should look out for when building the R3 (easy mistakes to make or a preffered way to build anything) ??

If i am to use the alex springs which ones should i start off with ??

Only guide i can offer at present is on my Yokomo SD i use Hot Yellow all round which are12.85 pounds

1 what tpye carpet do you have?
2 Are you running with one way diff?
3 how bumpy is the track? with low traction Hmmmm you might have to run with soft spring for smooth handling ride
