there are many great R/C cars out there and if you cant drive it doesnt matter what you have !

Spot on KO! It's great for business though. People don't win. They blame the car. They buy another car. They don't win again. They blame the car again. They buy another car. They still don't win but it's great for business.

Thanks for the complimentary words about me in an earlier thread. I wanted to mention it earlier but forgot. Please accept my apologies.

Randman. Thank you for the kind words too.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

The 2 cars I have kept are the Yokomo MR4tc pro and now the R2, and been in sedans 4+ years. I had a tc3 as a back up or when I ran another class but never cared for it and was unpredictable so I sold it. I usually I buy a car and stick with it. I was that way when I ran oval. As much as I have in my R2, I'll be keeping it for awhile.

I almost don't matter what car you have the money in them always adds up. Your R2 should be good for a long time. I sometimes think about all the different touring cars I have had and come to one conclusion. Almost any one of the numerous ones I have had over the last 3 years would still be competitive today. These companies keep making the car or the week and most of the time we don't need it to be fast. I think we buy because we might be afraid without it we would be slow but I bet 99 out of 100 that is not true.

Probably the best car I ever had was my 98 Schumacher SST. IT was killer on asphalt and I bet if I had it today I would still be just as fast with it as I'm with my TC3 on asphalt. If not it would be very close because that car just flat out worked for me and the way I drive. I kinda miss that car some.

Do you usually run toe-in or toe-out in the front of the Barracuda?

The first TC3's did suck, but the new cars have a lot of updated parts. I've thought about it a lot, and if Yokomo werent coming out with the CGM chassis, I might have tried a TC3..

It will react to toe-in or toe-out just like any other car, it just depends on your driving style/track conditition.

Has anyone used TRC 28mm foams in the fronts ? I tried it
and it seems to rub when the tires are turned to their
extremes. Any suggestions ?

What does it rub on, I'm sure there are ways to get around it, the 28's rubbed on my SD as well, but I ground down part of the knuckle.

Randman, it rubs the top of the c-hub and also the top turnbuckle. I'll try your suggestion, hopefully it does not weaken the c-hub as it looks pretty sturdy.

you might want to try 26's or try some spacers behind the wheel .
