Default Doubled front shock towers..

Randman...

Now I understand why you made the double front shock towers.
Under full compression... I could see the shock mounts at the towers flex... I will definately have to order another front tower and fix the flex.

That wasn't the main reason behind the double tower... I heard of people breaking them, so I didnt want to join that club. It was definately a reason that I kept in the back of my head though.

Anybody here have tried that on their 'Cuda with the accemetric ball mounts?

The XXX's arms are swept back, i believe that the cuda arms are already at a paralell to each other, thereby giving it more on-power steering.

however, it's worth mentioning that it is not the toe angle of the arms in the xxx's is what is meant to be changed but that of the dog bone angle... (which gives it more exit steering)

last weekend i was racing at a tight indoor asphalt track.
bacause there were some newbies on the track i had some hard impacts.. and ok, my setup was not working well. it is hard to explain, the car didnt feel dialed, it was hard to drive, not precise, not planted.. it fells like tweaked..
i am wondering wether the slop(i hope this is the correct word) in the steering could cause this problem. maybe i should shim the front c-hub carriers to reduce play(or slop)? and change the ballcups?
or my servo isn't working correct.. (ps 2113). now i orderd a futaba 9550.
any sugestions?

If the car feels tweaked, loosen all of the screws on the bulkheads, steering posts, and shock towers, twist the chassis back and forth to get it straight, lay it on a flat surface, and tighten all the screws back in a star pattern.

Just found out I have to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas night. I'm gonna get some mean money from it though. Might be able to buy two cars. So how many of you have run your R2's on carpet?

Maybe I should look into getting a black special and then the CGM conversion. Then I will be able to drive a Yok again.

Just found out I have to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas night. At least I am getting some mean money from it.

Anyone know if the suzuki steering knuckles will be available again? I figure that is the one thing that would be on the must have list.
I'm waiting on the CGM as well, just not decided on if I want to convert my RS car, or build a new car... I dont know if the Suzuki knuckles will be avalible again, but I kinda doubt it. I definately dont think they are a necissity though.

Couldn't hurt to take the slop out of it, especially on a small tight track..

not a whole lot...just what has been mentioned here....
starting off with 50wt all around, hard shortspan arms.
zero toe front
3deg rear.
Rayspeed springs: red/f...white/r
shocks outer hole on tower front
second to outer hole on rear tower.
no spacers under front arms.

if you have a good set-up for rubber tires on Carpet ...please let me know so I don't spend hours trying to get the car dialed...
