I know, I'm just sayin he's right around the corner from Speedtech, seems to want that imput gear pretty badly, so it's not hard to get.

Default Final drive Ratio for the R2

How do I go about calculating the final drive ratio for my cuda.
Its been suggested to run 6 - 6.50 final drive with rubber tires stock

Thanks

How many people here run 48pitch on their Cuda's and how many run 64pitch?

Do you run 48pitch on asphault and 64 on carpet?

Stay with the 48 if you don't have the Xenon or PAL drivetrains...
without it....64 gears strips easily.
I've got the PAL on my WEB and run 64p gears. runs smoother, quieter and more finer gear ratios to choose from.

I believe the internal ratio is 2.375 on the R2.

I ran 64 pitch on asphault with no problems, but I was running the PAL drivetrain. Stick with 48 pitch if you dont have the PAL system.

I assume 64pitch on the R3 will be fine due to the new motor mount/shaft holder which is like the PAL system?

2.4375 is the internal ratio

yes 64dp should be ok on the R3, especially if you buy alloy shaft holders too

On the subject of 64dp gears, what size spur do most of you use? Still in half a mind to swap over from 48dp and would like to work out how many pinions I'll have to buy to cover the same range I have now.
