Low A-main or High B-main .... I`m trying out all of my New Batteries and a few well Balanced 23T Xenon Stock Motors.. I have been able to better my average lap time by .2 so things are looking good also there will be all of the people that placed in the top 3 at the past couple of Xenon/Alex races..so comp will be tough ... but whats good about this Race is that there will be no Novice Racers so no broken parts for me

No broken parts.... famous last words
Surely if there were novice drivers the heats would be sorted into rough ability groups? Normaly there isn't a problem with driving with erratic drivers when you're not so erratic. It's quite good at my club because the top heat is always pretty regular so I get to race with the same guys every week, some you have to be careful about

Good luck, go know another 0.1 off your lap times

Default Thunderbolt Charger from Alex Racing

Hi Dave,

I am curious with this charger being sold by Alex Racing. Do you have any info on the performance and how it compares to the CDC by Eagle Racing and maybe Millenium Pro by Novak? We havent seen the charger locally so we dont have any knowledge, perhaps you have seen other racers use it in Japan. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Steve
It's hard to give gearing advice without know the track you race on. You should ask the guys at your track what overall ratio they are using and work backwards from there to find a rough idea of what you need.
I run my stock motor indoors and use 20-22 tooth pinions and a 69 spur gear, outdoors on a medium sized track I use a 28-29pinion, on a larger track I could easily see me using a 34 and my indoor track isn't exactly tiny. With a different stock motor like a P2K2 I'd expect to gear 2 or 3 teeth higher atleast. It varies a huge amount.

Do you have any idea's about gearing for other motors at your track? Do you crash a lot? What make of motor is it?

Just run the same final drive ratio you would with any other car running a 10 single...
