Both are awesome... the PAL chassis is a bit stiffer though.

It's identical to the PAL Type A drivetrain... PAL makes the Xenon kits as well.

the motor mounts are simmilar but not the same... the PALmount is actually a bit lighter than the Xenon one..

I bet Dave will get us some great pics to look at. Yataba Arena is a very nice looking place to race. Not too many tracks like it here in the states.

Well....I ordered an R2 last night from Steve at SpeedTech..
It shipped out today and i'm stoked.
I ordered the red version!!!!!
I cant wait to get the car.

Hey Dave...how difficult is it going to be to assemble being I hear the instructions are in Japanese.....Plenty of pics and diagrams?????

Steve said hes doing all the supplementals so I should be able to hang!!!!

Any input will help

The Suplimental that Steve puts in there is pretty good.. there are a few things on the ALEX Racing USA home page that are quite good also...( read this page too) also the shock instructions are a bit vague....but the whole manual has tons of pictures and if you have built any kit before it should be a piece of cake

Thanks Dave!!!

Thanks Randman!!!

I'll keep you guys posted as to how the build is going.

I also ordered the mid span arms for the tighter twisty track we will probably run, carpet by the way , and the short steering post set so I can run with out the gearbox covers.

I called the LHS and had them order a Protoform Alfa 2.0 to go on the car also!!!!

Not sure how I'll paint it up, but I have some ideas bouncin around....Spaz Stix has a killer new orange anodized color....hummmmm....maybe some Allclad chrome

I just painted a body with the gold/orange/purple/red spazstix color change paint. It was more out of curiosity but it seems to have turned out pretty well. It looks dark but in the sun the colors really come out.

No doubt!!!

My guy over at the LHS and I got together and painted up a few samples of the anodized colors and the orange with allclad chrome behind it will blow you away buddy.

I tried the New Tamiya Translucent dark blue with the chrome behind it and got a nice blue anodized color,
I tried two coats of blue.....I'd try just one coat next time
