Ok, maybe add 30~50 grams for the lid. But yes, I'm running a KO PDS 2143, KO RF301, LRP Comp ESC w/CAP and did without the Orange bodypost. The car is super light. Could be because of those titanium torx screws.

Oh, and no battery mount or plate since they didn't fit.

I just cut off the inner section to make mine fit.
in the front where it's at 90deg. I cut that off... on the rear..
I pretty much took away half if it off...only the outside battery support is there.

Herm,

I'm running Fukuyama Racing Cells, they're GP3300. The KO Receiver and Quantum Comp ESC is super light to begin with.

I hadn't thought of that. I might give it a try but from last night's run, strap taping them is great! the cells are neatly secured. The car is perfectly balance at this point but I don't know if that'll be the case with the bulky brace and orange alum top plate. I'll give it a try today and see if it'll throw off the balance. I've got some really light electronics on the other side.

Since all the weight is on the batterside... I always end up adding extra weight on the electronic side to compensate at least an extra 1 oz. +

I'm using a KO 297 reciever so no real difference there, my ESC will be heavier but it's no monster, probably around 15grams more. Still 100g difference, you using the alloy battery strap? I have replaced half my screws with titanium ones. You filled your tyres with helium?

I have never weighed my Cuda...I'm afraid it doesn't weigh enough....oh well, when they get back to weight rules, I'll worry about it then. BTW, where's Dave and DJ been hiding?

it's very likely to be underweight, with a can painted shell (thickish paint) 3300GP's and alloy battery strap my car is on the 1500gram limit.

I am running a GT7, Futaba digital servo, (can't remember the model #), Airtronics reciever from my M8, 3300's and use tape to strap my batteries in, and an airbrushed Yoke "D" type body...I'm sure it's underweight...I'll worry about that when carpet season gets here in October/November, or when it gets cold outside... I'll get the Pal drive system, aluminum center shaft holder for the front, Ti screws, mid span arms, roll bars, and many other godies that I'll "need"...lol or is that a "want"?

hmmm? very strange. I'm not using the alloy battery strap nor the bulky battery brace since they wouldn't fit both front and back because the servo mount is in the way because I didn't use a low profile servo and the rear definately didn't fit as I had the spur gears mounted on front side of the input holder so it can mesh better with the set of pinions I already have. I'll have to take a picture with and without the lid on a digital scale and post it here.

wekk thats more reasonable then, was wondering how much a shell weighed.

Maj I'm using a pair of alloy posts to mount my battery strap on, it's fire as long as you mount the spur to the rear of the car. Looks very nice too
